Our Story

The Beginning
Valoona was born out of a personal understanding of these very challenges. Our founding team (a mix of educators, hiring managers, and lifelong learners) kept encountering the same frustrating story: talented people struggling to find their footing in the professional world.
We saw new graduates with spark and potential get passed over because their resumes didn't "show" much. We saw companies drowning in applications, yet unable to find the right candidates for entry-level roles.
The Research
In 2025, we decided to dig deeper. We conducted extensive research, including interviews and surveys with students, recent graduates, hiring managers, HR professionals, and career coaches.
The insights were eye-opening. We mapped out 58 distinct challenges that people face in early career development and hiring. This confirmed what we suspected: the system was failing young professionals and their would-be employers on multiple levels.
Building the Solution
Rather than be overwhelmed by the scale of the problem, we were inspired. We asked ourselves, "What if we could leverage technology and community to solve this?" And so, the idea for Valoona took shape.
Every feature of Valoona exists because we listened to someone's struggle and said, "We can fix that." Today, Valoona is driven by that same passion that sparked its creation.
